LAY OUT AND FIXING OF HEATING CABLE
Notes:
• maintain the design spacing to
within ± 1 cm
• keep heating cable 5 cm from
edges and obstructions
• do not cross expansion joints
• avoid sites of future ground work
(kerbs, drains, etc.)
• Set the heating cable spool on a reel roller.
• Position the heating cable (with cold lead
connection installed) out to the point of the
power connection.
Warning: Do not cross over or shorten
the heating cable
• Working from the cold lead connection, fix the
heating cable to the reinforcing mesh at 300
mm intervals using cable ties (KBL-09).
• At the end of a straight run, turn the cable 180
degrees and run the cable in the opposite at
the desired spacing.
• Continue to fix the heating cable to the
reinforcing mesh at 300 mm intervals, until the
cable is completely attached and the desired
surface is appropriately covered.
