  • Page 7 Users are responsible for the operational control, maintenance and continual inspection of this product. Prior to clinical use, inspect the handpiece. Check for vibration, noise and overheating. If any abnormalities are found, stop using the handpiece immediately and contact your Authorized NSK Dealer. (Refer to "7. Checking the Handpiece Before Each Use") Do not disassemble or alter the handpiece except as recommended by NSK in this Operation Manual.

Do not use bur/drills other than specified in "10.

    8. Post-use Maintenance After each patient maintain the product as follows. WARNING CAUTION Do not use the following fluids to wipe, immerse or clean the product; strong/super acid water, strong acid/alkaline chemicals, chlorine-containing solutions, solvents such as benzine or thinner.

  • Page 24 Automatic Cleaning (External and Internal Surfaces) Use a thermo-disinfector in accordance with ISO 15883 (EN ISO 15883). Refer to the thermo-disinfector manual. CAUTION After washing with thermo-disinfector and prior to lubrication, dry the product until all internal moisture is thoroughly removed.

  • Page 26 8-4 Cleaning (Spray Port) (X-SG20L / X-SG25L / SG20) 1) Internally clean the Internal Spray Nozzle and/or the External Spray Nozzle by using Cleaning Wire. (Fig. 13,14) 2) Connect the Irrigation Tube to each Spray Nozzle, and wash the inside with clean water.
  • Page 27 CAUTION Do not forcibly insert the cleaning wire into the Spray Nozzle. Resultant port damage could cause the spray to be directed away from the bur/drill, and cause reduction of cooling efficiency. 8-5 Disinfection Manual Disinfection (External Surface) Wipe the surface with cloth soaked in disinfectant solution such as alcohol. Automatic Disinfection (External and Internal Surfaces) Use a thermo-disinfector in accordance with ISO 15883 (EN ISO 15883).
  • Page 28 8-6 Lubrication NSK PANA SPRAY Plus / PANA SPRAY Apply NSK PANA SPRAY Plus / PANA SPRAY every time after each use and/or before autoclaving. 1) Attach the Spray Nozzle into the Spray Port nozzle on the can. 2) Insert the Spray Nozzle into the rear of the handpiece. Hold the handpiece and spray 2-3 times for approximately 2-3 seconds each time.
  • Page 29 CAUTION Hold the spray can upright. Be sure to hold the handpiece firmly to prevent slipping out of hand by the spray pressure when lubricating. Supply lubricant until it comes out of the handpiece head. If you wish to expel excessive oil from inside of the handpiece, rotate the handpiece for approx.15 seconds without a bur. During the rotation, do not depress the push button inadvertently, especially when using absorbent cloth to prevent oil from scattering.
  • Page 30 NOTICE NSK recommends the use of "Spray Mist Absorber" (Y900084) to prevent oil mist expelling out of the handpiece head. Chuck cleaning (X-SG93L / X-SG93) Clean the Push Button chuck once a week. 1) Mount the Tip Nozzle into the spray can port.
  • Page 31 8-7 Sterilization Sterilize the product by autoclave sterilization. After each patient sterilize as noted below.   • Page 32 CAUTION Be sure to clean and lubricate the handpiece prior to autoclaving. If blood remains on the internal surface it can become clotted and cause product failure. Do not autoclave the product with other instruments even when it is in a pouch. This is to prevent possible discoloration and damage to the product from chemical residue on other instruments.

Disposing product In order to avoid the health risks of operators handling the disposal of medical equipment, as well as the risks of environmental contamination caused thereof, a surgeon or a dentist is required to confirm the equipment is sterile. Ask specialist firms who are licensed to dispose of specially controlled industrial wastes, to dispose the product for you.

    8. Entretien après usage Après chaque patient, procédez à l'entretien du produit comme suit. AVERTISSEMENT ATTENTION N'utilisez pas les fluides suivants pour essuyer, immerger ou nettoyer le produit : de l'eau forte/très acide, des produits chimiques acides/alcalins forts, des solutions contenant du chlore, des solvants tels que du benzène ou un diluant.

Si du sang subsiste à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur, il peut coaguler et causer une défaillance du produit. Ne stérilisez pas le produit en autoclave avec d'autres instruments, même s'il se trouve dans un sachet. Il pourrait en résulter une décoloration et des dommages au produit en raison de résidus chimiques sur d'autres instruments.
  • Page 69 Seuls la pièce à main, l'embout de spray interne et le porte-embout peuvent être stérilisés en autoclave. Ne stérilisez pas en autoclave d'autres composants (connecteur en Y, tube d'irrigation, etc.) REMARQUE NSK recommande des stérilisateurs de classe B, comme spécifié par la norme EN 13060.

    14. Mise au rebut du produit Afin d'éviter tout risque pour la santé des opérateurs en charge de la mise au rebut d'équipements médicaux ainsi que tout risque de contamination environnementale qui pourrait en résulter, le chirurgien ou le dentiste doit obligatoirement confirmer que l'équipement est stérile.
