PARKING BRAKE LOCKING LEVER
(10:A)
The lever locks the "brake" pedal in the
pressed right down position. This function
is used to lock the machine on slopes, du-
ring transport, etc., when the engine is not running.
Locking:
1. Press the pedal (10:B) right down.
2. Move the locking lever (10:A) to the right.
3. Release the pedal (10:B).
4. Release the locking lever (10:A).
Unlocking:
1. Press and release the pedal (10:B).
6.4
TRACTION PEDAL (10:F)
The pedal determines the gearing ratio between
the engine and the drive wheels (= the speed).
When the pedal is released, the service brake is
activated.
- Press the pedal forward – the machine
moves forward.
- No load on the pedal – the machine is
stationary.
- Press the pedal backward – the
machine reverses.
- Reduce the pressure on the pedal – the machine
brakes.
A plate is installed on the upper section of the pe-
dal which can be adjusted to suit the driver's foot.
If the machine does not brake as ex-
pected when the pedal is released, the
left pedal (10:B) should be used as an
emergency brake.
6.5
STEERING WHEEL (10: D)
The height of the steering wheel is fully adjustable.
Unscrew the adjustment knob (10:E) on the stee-
ring column and raise or lower the steering wheel
accordingly. Tighten.
Do not adjust the steering wheel when
the machine is running.
Never turn the steering wheel when the
machine is stationary with a lowered
attachment. There is a risk of abnormal
loads on the servo and steering mecha-
nisms.

THROTTLE
TOR) (12:A) MOD.: [B&S Intek] [B&S
Vanguard]
Control for regulating engine running speed.
Full throttle – should always be used when
the machine is in use.
Idling.
Some models are equipped with a sy-
stem that automatically controls the
choke position in the carburettor du-
ring engine ignition and heating.
6.7
CHOKE CONTROL (if provided) (12:B) -
MOD.: [2WD]
A choke control to be used when starting the
engine in cold conditions.
Control fully pulled out (12:B1) - butterfly
closed. For starting the machine in cold
conditions.
Control pushed in (12:B2) - butterfly open. For
starting the engine in warm conditions and during
operation.
Do not use the choke when the engine
is warm.
Some models are equipped with a sy-
stem that automatically controls the
choke position in the carburettor du-
ring engine ignition and heating.
6.8
IGNITION /HEADLIGHT BLOCK (11:C;
12:C)
The ignition block is used for starting and stopping
the engine.
It is also used to switch on the headlight.
Do not leave the ignition key in position
2 or 3 when you leave the driving seat.
There is a risk of fire (fuel can run into
the engine through the carburettor) and
the battery may go flat and get dama-
ged.
The four ignition key positions:
1. Stop position – the engine is short-circui-
ted. The key can be removed.
2. Operating position – headlight activated.
