The straight stitch is the basic stitch.

Placez le tissu et abaissez le pied.
Mettez le tissu ou le pied afin que l'aiguille pénètre au point
de départ voulu. Tirez les deux fils vers l'arrière et abaissez
le pied presseur.

presser foot is correct.

Set the fabric and lower
the presser foot.
Place the fabric under the
presser foot so the needle
will enter the sewing start
point of the fabric. Pull both
the needle and bobbin
threads to the rear of the
machine and lower the
presser foot.
CAUTION:
Turn off the machine before changing
the presser foot.

Begin sewing.

Lightly hold the fabric
with your hands.
Be careful not to apply ex-
cessive pulling force to the
fabric while sewing.
