20. Pb charge program
Charging lead-acid batteries:
In Pb mode the GM Commander SPORT can be used to charge lead-acid batteries consisting of up to ten cells (2 - 20 V).
Ideally lead-acid batteries should be charged at 1/10 of their nominal capacity, e.g. 1 A for a 10 Ah battery. All you have to do is
set the maximum charge current and the number of cells.
Press the 'Batt. Type / Stop' button to move to the PROGRAM SELECT - Pb BATT menu. Now press 'Start - Enter' for the 'Pb
CHARGE' menu.

The default pre-set charge current is displayed on the screen. If you wish to change this setting, press 'Start - Enter' again: the
charge current starts to flash, and can now be changed using the DEC or INC button.
Pressing the 'Start - Enter' button again takes you to the cell count (1 - 10), which can then be altered in the same manner.

When the settings are correct, hold the 'Start - Enter' button pressed in for three seconds; the charger then initiates the auto-

To interrupt the charge process before it terminates automatically, press the 'Stop' button.
WARNING: it is absolutely essential to enter the correct charge current and cell count at this point, otherwise the
battery may be damaged or - worse - ignite or even explode!
