17. NiXX charge program

Charging NiXX:
Press the 'Batt. Type / Stop' button to move to the PROGRAM SELECT - NiMH BATT or NiCd BATT menu, according to the
battery you wish to charge. Now press 'Start - Enter' for the 'NiMH CHARGE' or 'NiCd CHARGE' menu.
The default pre-set charge current is displayed on the screen. If you wish to change this setting, press 'Start - Enter' again: the
charge current starts to flash, and can now be changed using the DEC or INC button.

When the settings are correct, hold the 'Start - Enter' button pressed in for three seconds; the charger then initiates the auto-
matic cell detect process BATTERY CHECK (please refer to Chapter 11 for details of programming the CHK time), displays the
values on the screen, and starts the charge process.
To interrupt the charge process before it terminates automatically, press the 'Stop' button.
WARNING: it is absolutely essential to enter the correct charge current at this point, otherwise the battery may
be damaged or - worse - ignite or even explode!
