Charge settings - USER SET menu
Waste time:
This setting affects the Cycle charge mode: you can set an interlude (waiting time) which prevents the charger discharging a
battery immediately after a charge process is completed, when the pack is usually warm. The longer the interlude, the more the
battery is able to cool down, but the longer the Cycle procedure lasts. The range of available values is 1 to 60 minutes.
Safety timer:
At this point you can set the maximum time after which a charge process is always halted. The purpose is to prevent overchar-
ging.
Calculating the Safety Timer period: capacity: charge current = X; X: 11.9 = Safety Timer period.
Examples:
1000 mAh : 1.2 A (charge current) : 11.9 = 70 min.
2000 mAh : 2.0 A (charge current) : 11.9 = 84 min.
3300 mAh : 3.3 A (charge current) : 11.9 = 92 min.
Capacity:
Similar to the 'Safety Timer': at this point you can enter a maximum charged-in capacity, after which the charge process is
halted. This also prevents overcharging.
Key Beep - Buzzer:
Key Beep ON: an audible signal is emitted every time you press a button.
Buzzer ON: an audible signal alerts you to the end of the charge process.
OFF switches the function off.
Input power low:
The charger monitors the input voltage of the power source (mains PSU, car battery ...). If the voltage falls below the set value,
the charge process is halted in order to prevent damage to the power source (e.g. deep-discharged car battery). You can set
this voltage to any value in the range 10 - 11 V.
