19. NiXX cycle program
Cycling NiXX:
The Cycle function is used to charge a NiXX battery, and then discharge it again. It is possible to set whether the cycle starts
with the charge or discharge process, and select the number of cycles.
You can also program the length of the interval between cycles; this is carried out in the Setup menu (see Chapter 11 for pro-
gramming the Waste Time).
3 sec.
Press the 'Batt. Type / Stop' button to move to the PROGRAM SELECT - NiMH BATT or NiCd BATT menu, according to the
battery to be charged. Now press 'Start - Enter' for the 'NiMH CHARGE' or 'NiCd CHARGE' menu.
Pressing the INC button at this point takes you to the NiMH CYCLE or NiCd CYCLE menu.

Pressing the 'Start - Enter' button again takes you to the cycle count (1 - 5), which can then be adjusted in the same manner.
When the settings are correct, hold the 'Start - Enter' button pressed in for three seconds; the charger then initiates the auto-
matic cell detect process BATTERY CHECK (please refer to Chapter 11 for details of programming the CHK time), and starts
the cycle process.
To interrupt the charge process before it terminates automatically, press the 'Stop' button.
When the process is completed, a screen display appears showing the charged-in and discharged capacities (see
picture below).
