3A SWITCHING OFF
Temporary switch-off
In the event of absence for short periods of time, set the function selector
to
OFF (fig.34).
In this way (leaving the electricity and fuel supplies enabled), the boiler
is protected by the following systems:
- Heating anti-freeze: this function is activated if the temperature
measured by the delivery probe drops below 5°C. In this phase, the
circulator is activated. If the boiler is not in lockout, the burner is also
activated at minimum output until the delivery water temperature
reaches 35°C.
During the anti-freeze cycle, the symbol
digital display.
- DHW anti-freeze: the function is activated if the temperature
measured by the domestic water probe drops below 5°C. In this
phase, the circulator is activated. If the boiler is not in lockout, the
burner is also activated at minimum output until the delivery water
temperature reaches 55°C.
During the anti-freeze cycle, the symbol
digital display.
- Circulator anti-blocking: an operation cycle is activated every 24 hours
after the last heat request.
Switching off for long periods
In the event of absence for long periods of time, set the function selector
to
OFF (fig.34).
Turn the main system switch OFF.
Close the fuel and water taps of the heating and domestic hot water
system.
In this case, anti-freeze device is deactivated: empty the systems,
in case of risk of frost.
4A CHECKS
Make sure at the beginning of the heating period and during use that
the water pressure gauge indicates the pressure values with cold ap-
pliance comprised between 0.6 and 1.5 bar: this avoids system noise
levels due to the presence of air.
In case of insufficient water circulation, the boiler will switch off. Under
no circumstances, water pressure must be below 0.5 bar (red field).
If this condition is checked, it is necessary to restore water pressure in
the boiler proceeding as follows:
- turn the function selector to
- turn on the filling tap (B - fig. 23) until the pressure value is between
1 and 1.5 bar.
Carefully close the tap.
Replace the mode selector on the initial position.
If pressure drop is frequent, contact the Technical Assistance Service.
5A OPERATING STATUS AND FAULTS
The operating status of the boiler is shown on the digital display. The
types of message are listed below

Reset function
To restore operation (reset alarms):
Faults A01-02-03
Turn the function selector to
turn it to the required position.
If the reset attempts do not reactivate the boiler, request the intervention
of the Technical Assistance Centre.
Fault A04
In addition to the fault code, the digital display displays the symbol
in the following cases:
- Insufficient water pressure
Check the pressure value indicated by the water gauge:
if it is less than 0.3 bar, position the function selector on
adjust the filling tap until the pressure reaches a value between 1
and 1.5 bar.
Then turn the function selector to the required position.
If pressure drops are frequent, request the intervention of the
Technical Assistance Centre.
- Anti-overflow pressure switch
Position the mode selector on
then turn it to the required position.
If the fault persists, contact the Technical Assistance Centre.
- Full basin (if the condense collector tray kit is installed)
Remove the basin and empty it, following the instructions supplied
with the condense collector tray kit (available upon request).
Once the operations have been completed, replace the basin
Position the mode selector on
then turn it to the required position.
If the fault persists, contact the Technical Assistance Centre.
Fault A06
The boiler functions normally but does not guarantee a constant
domestic hot water temperature, which remains set at around 50°C.
The intervention of the Technical Assistance Service is required.
Fault A07
Contact the Technical Assistance Centre.
6A REDUCED CONDENSATION FORMATION - (FIG. 33)
If you want to reduce the formation of condensation, follow the
instructions below:
- position the selectors for adjusting the temperature of the domestic
hot water and the heating water in the zone indicated by "FCR"
(reduced condensation formation).
The closer the selector nears the maximum value that can be set, the
less condensation is produced.
