5. Installation of trickle filter pump PF 1000
The aquarium water flows into the inflow compartment over a comb (Fig. 8, No. 10). From the
inflow compartment, the water flows over the trickle filter. There are two filter baskets that can be
filled with activated carbon or phosphate absorbers.
After the trickle filter, there's the clean water compartment (Fig. 8, No. 5) where the pump PF
1000 is placed that pumps the water back into the aquarium.
The water level in the Magnifica must not be allowed to drop too low otherwise the pump in the
clean water compartment will draw air in. Therefore, it is important to refill evaporated water
regularly. The clean water compartment should not be completely filled with water since there is no
circulation in the top.
5.1. Features
The inside aquarium filter PF 1000 is very quiet in operation. It has a fully encapsulated
synchronous motor. All materials are salt-water resistant.
The ceramic shaft is nearly wear-resistant so that a long life span is guaranteed. The whole pump
can be disassembled for cleaning. All electrical parts are encapsulated.
