Before Initial Use
CAUTION!
■
Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation!
■
Please note: You might notice a strange smell the fi rst time you use the device. We
therefore recommend that you initially operate the device for a few minutes WIT-
HOUT any contents in order to burn off any production residues that may remain.
During this time, make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g. with wide-open windows!
■
There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful effects
to your health, thoroughly clean the device before you use it for the fi rst time.
1. Take the device out of the packaging and remove all fi lms and stickers that may be
present. Inspect the device for transport damage. If you notice any damage, do not
use it(!), but contact our customer service department.
2. Clean the device and the accessories thoroughly before using them for the fi rst time
(see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
3. Place the inner container in the freezer for at least 12 hours, max. 24 hours. Make
sure that the container is upright and is not lying on its side. The container must be
dry.
4. Prepare the ice cream mixture (see also the "Suggested Recipes" chapter).
•
Chill the prepared ice cream mixture in the fridge before you pour it into the
device. This shortens the time required for making the ice cream.
•
The addition of alcohol to the ice cream mixture may prevent the mixture
from freezing. You should therefore only add alcohol once the ice cream
is of the desired consistency. Allow the stirring paddle to stir around a few
more times before you serve the ice cream (see the "Use" chapter).
Use
CAUTION!
■
Danger of burns caused by the cold! Do not touch the inner container with bare
hands when you take it out of the freezer compartment after precooling.
■
Only use the device when it is fully and correctly assembled and in good working
order.
■
Do not move the device during use.
■
The device must be switched on before you pour in the prepared ice cream mixture
in order to prevent the liquid from freezing solid on the inner walls of the inner con-
tainer.
■
Do not overfi ll the device. The inner container may only be fi lled up to a maximum of
4 cm below the edge as the volume of the ice cream increases during the freezing
process.
■
Do not place any objects, fi ngers, hair or anything similar into the feed opening while
the device is in operation.
