- War ein Nachtrimmen erforderlich, so werden die
Gestängelängen nach der Landung korrigiert und die
Trimmhebel am Sender wieder in Mittelstellung
gebracht, so daß für die folgenden Flüge beidseitig der
volle Trimmweg zur Verfügung steht.
Der erste Wasserstart
- Ein ausreichend großes Gewässer und einen windstillen
Tag für die ersten Wasserstarts auswählen.
Das Modell im Wasser mit langsam Gas fahren und mit
Seitenruder gegen den Wind stellen. Gas geben und
Modell beschleunigen lassen, bis es auf die
Schwimmerstufe kommt und in Gleitfahrt übergeht. Mit
leichtem Höhenruderausschlag abheben.
- Zur Wasserung mit ausreichend Schleppgas gleich-
mäßig sinken und das Modell aufsetzen lassen.
- Den Flug rechtzeitig beenden, um mit genügend
Reststrom zur Startstelle zurückzukehren.
- Nach dem Aufsetzen kontrollieren, dass kein Wasser in
das innere eingedrungen ist.
- Bei häufigem Einsatz auf dem Wasser oder bei
Rauwasser

- Try out the model's slow-flying characteristics at a safe
height, so that you know when the stall is imminent.
- Carry out the landing approach well above this mini-
mum speed.
- Observe the model's behaviour in the air carefully. If
corrections to the trims are required, it is best to adjust
the mechanical linkages as soon as the model is back
on the ground, so that you can return the trims to cen-
tre. This will ensure that full trim travel is available to
both sides of centre for subsequent flights.
Initial flights from water
- For your first flight from water, find a lake of adequate
size, and wait for a day with little or no breeze.
Place the model in the water, open the throttle slightly,
and use the rudder to point the nose directly into wind.
Open the throttle and allow the machine to accelerate
until it rises up onto the float step and starts to plane.
At this point gentle up-elevator will cause the model to
lift off.
- For the landing, close the throttle to the point where the
model is descending steadily, and simply allow it to
touch down on the water's surface.

- Be sure to terminate the flight in good time, so that you
have sufficient residual energy in the flight pack to run
the model back to the starting point.
- After the flight, check that no water has managed to
penetrate inside the model.
- If you intend to fly regularly from water, or if the water is
less than calm, seal the cabin by applying full-length
strips of adhesive tape on both sides of the opening.

- Si le comportement du planeur vous a contraint de
modifier la position des dispositifs de réglage de préci-
sion (trims), après l'atterrissage, rectifier au niveau des
tringles afin de rétablir la position neutre des trims sur
l'émetteur pour disposer de l'ensemble de leur course
lors du vol suivant.
Le premier décollage de l'eau
- Choisir un plan d'eau suffisamment grand et une
journée à vent faible pour le premier décollage de l'eau.
- Piloter de modèle lentement sur l'eau en donnant
légèrement des gaz et amener face au vent à l'aide de
la gouverne de direction. Donner des gaz pour accélér-
er le modèle jusqu'à ce qu'il arrive sur le gradin des flot-
teurs et passe en vol plané. Faire décoller le modèle en
tirant légèrement sur le manche de profondeur.
- Pour l'atterrissage, entamer un vol descendant en
réduisant le gaz et poser le modèle.
- Interrompre la séance de pilotage suffisamment tôt afin
de pouvoir ramener le modèle à son point de départ
avec suffisamment d'énergie résiduelle.
- Après l'atterrissage, vérifier l'absence d'eau dans l'in-
térieur du modèle.
- Si vous souhaitez faire voler souvent le modèle et
également sur des eaux mojns calmes, étancher la cab-
ine bilatéralement avec des morceaux de ruban
adhésif.
