9. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING

If you discover leakage from the interior of the tank or any other sign of
irregular operation, promptly disconnect the appliance from the electrical
network, and also from the water supply network using the closing valve.
Leakage of the hot water tap may cause the harmful overheating of the appli-
ance. Repairing the tap is your interest.
9.1.
Combined safety valve
Before putting into use, check if the outlet of the valve is blocked, and if flow to-
wards the open airspace is ensured during the operation of the valve. The out-
let must look downwards. At least every two months, blow of the valve by turn-
ing the blow-of button of the safety valve in the direction indicated by the arrow.
This will clean the valve seat of any possible sand deposit, preventing its adhe-
sion. The leakage of the valve while in operation is a functional phenomenon. If
the leakage does not stop when the heating is switched of, have the appliance
checked by a technician.
9.2.
Discharging of water from the container
After disconnecting the container and removing the bottom plate, the discharging
of water can be performed via the discharge stud located on the closing cover
(Figure 12.3.g); it is closed by an M12 Allen screw and seal. Before discharging,
the cold water tap located closest to the hot water tank (and used to disconnect
the tank from the water network) must be closed. Open one hot water tap to
