6 Maintenance
6.1 Maintenance intervals
Monthly inspection by the operating company:
Visual inspection of the backwater valve for tightness.
Manual check on ease of movement of the emergency
closure lever.
Actuation of the "flap" button.
Maintenance must be carried out every six months by
competent skilled personnel.
Control unit: battery replacement approx. every 24
months, earlier if required.
6.2 Notes on maintenance
CAUTION
The system must not come into contact with mineral
or partly mineral lubricants (e.g. WD-40). Mineral
lubricants can impair functional ability and tightness.
Only use completely synthetic lubricants!
Notes on the flap position
The motor-driven flaps only have the positions OPEN and
CLOSED and have to be opened and closed by the control
unit. Manual movement of the motor-driven flaps is not pos-
sible.
