Connect backwater valve to pipes. For this, make sure
that
the backwater valve is aligned vertically upwards with
the operating elements as shown
the installation location corresponds to the direction of
flow (3)
the system itself and the pipes are fixed securely
the emergency closure lever is set to neutral position,
see "Commissioning", page 31.
This way straightforward backwater protection is
guaranteed for the construction phase.

Removing the protective cover
Undo the clip closures on one side, then the other side. If the
clip closures are undone crosswise, damage to the protec-
tive cover can occur.
4.3 Floor slab installation if necessary
Prerequisites for connections:
Cable conduit min. DN 50 version, use 2x 45° elbows in
each case. Use a pipe penetration seal (accessories) suit-
able for the pipe diameter.
Installing the upper section
Shorten the upper section if necessary. Heed the mini-
mum insertion depth when shortening. The upper section
must project approx. 2.5 cm above the seal on the inside.
Set the seal on the drain body, check correct fit.
Grease the sealing lip(s).
