10. Troubleshooting
Fault
Li-Po storage battery
plugged into tool and
button 1 pressed, but tool
does not work.
Gradual reduction of
working cycles with the
same Li-Po storage
battery.
Charger does not start
charging and/or flashes
red.
Strap tension not
sufficient or too low.
Plastic strap tears when
being tensioned.

Cause
Li-Po storage battery defective or
insufficiently charged.
Contacts of Li-Po storage battery
or the tool polluted or defective.
Loose cable connections.
Li-Po storage battery defective or
insufficiently charged.
Life of Li-Po storage battery
moves towards its end, internal
cells are defective or exhausted.
Li-Po storage battery is defective.
Voltage of the Li-Po storage
battery is below 10 V; therefore,
charging is not allowed.
Temperature Li-Po storage
battery not compatible with
charging process.
Contacts of Li-Po storage battery
or the tool polluted or defective.
Strap tension not set correctly.
Li-Po storage battery defective or
insufficiently charged.
Tensioning motor, gear unit or
electric board defective.
Strap tension setting too high.
Edges of packing item too sharp.
Use of inappropriate plastic strap.

Remedy
Check charge of Li-Po storage
battery and recharge or, if req'd,
replace it.
Visual inspection of the contacts;
clean them, if req'd.
Check the micro switch (90), it
can be found below button 1 (91).
Check charge of Li-Po storage
battery and recharge or, if req'd,
replace it. Then use the Li-Po
storage battery again and
compare the cycle time.
Use new Li-Po storage battery.
Do not use the Li-Po storage
battery any further and replace it
with a new Li-Po storage battery.
Test voltage with an instrument -
check charger for proper function.
If voltage < 10 V, replace Li-Po
storage battery.
Wait, until temperature has
lowered and try again; should the
fault not have been remedied,
contact TITAN service dept.
Visual inspection of the contacts;
clean them, if req'd.
Check value set on the keyboard
display and correct, if required.
Check charge of Li-Po storage
battery and recharge or, if req'd,
replace it.
Check tensioning motor (503),
gear unit and electric board (505)
for damage (visual inspection), if
existing, contact TITAN service
dept.
Correct value set on the
keyboard display downward.
If sharp packing item edges exist,
use an edge saver, if possible.
Check plastic strap, does it meet
necessary requirements? If not,
use plastic strap meeting the
requirements of the tool.
