How to Use Needle Threader
The small triangle indicates the top side of
the threader.
Pass a length of thread horizontally into the
threader groove. Gently press the threader to
the needle and slide it down the needle front.
The narrow tongue in the threader pushes the
thread through the eye and a loop is formed.
Use your fingers to grasp the loop and pull the
thread through the needle eye and under the
presser foot.
Safety System (Model 686 only)
The machine will not operate when the
front cover is open.
Automatic Tension Release
(Model 686 only)
Raise the presser foot and the tension discs
automatically open. When the tensions are
released, the thread can be pulled freely.
