Inserting Overlock Chain-Off
Threads at the Beginning of Seam
Raise the presser foot and gently remove
the overlock chain-off threads from the
instant rolled hem device (stitch width
finger). Pull the stitches to the back.
Place the fabric directly in front of the
needles to start your seam. Bring the
stitches around to the front and across
the top of the fabric.
Lower the presser foot and sew. The
overlock chain-off threads are
automatically inserted into the seam.
Inserting Overlock Chain-off
Threads at the End of Seam
Sew to the edge of the fabric and stop. Raise
the presser foot and gently remove the stitches
from the stitch width finger.
Turn fabric upside down (top side of seam
will be next to the feed dog). Lower the
presser foot and gently pull the threads
above the tension discs to remove any
slack.
Align the edge of the fabric with the needle
plate but do not cut the sewn seam. Sew
about 5 cm (2") over seam and pivot fabric
off to the left.

Sewing Extra Heavy Fabrics

Before sewing extra heavy fabrics, lock the
movable cutting blade for maximum cutting
strength.
Remove presser foot. Set stitch length at 4.0.
Adjust cutting width if needed.
Insert allen screwdriver into screw located under
right side opening in front of feeddogs. Tighten
the screw until the movable cutting blade cannot
be disengaged.
After sewing extra heavy fabrics, always loosen
the screw slightly to unlock the movable cutting
blade for normal sewing.
NOTE: Cutting width cannot be adjusted when
movable cutting blade is locked.
