time counter on the power supply by pressing the

11.3 Use of diaphragms
The illuminator is provided with centerable field and
aperture diaphragms. (Fig. 47)
Centering and use procedure of reflected light
diaphragm is the same to the one described for
transmitted light diaphragms in chapter 9.11 "Con-
denser centering".
11.3.1 Field diaphragm
Operate on the "FS" ① to close the field diaphragm
and, using the provided Allen wrench, operate on the
centering screws ②. (Fig. 48)
11.3.2 Aperture diaphragm
Operate on the "FS" ③ to close the aperture
diaphragm and, using the provided Allen wrench,
operate on the centering screws ④. (Fig. 48)
11.4 Use of the shutter
1. Open the shutter by moving the lever to the "
position to work in fluorescence. (Fig. 49)
2. Close the shutter by moving the lever to the "
position, as the observation should be interrupted
for a limited time and the sample should not be
subjected to unnecessary illumination during the
observation period.

Frequent switching on and off of the HBO bulb
significantly reduces its service life.
