8 Initial operation

DANGER
Danger to life and limb
Before initial operation check the installation for
leaks
Wear protective clothing as the pipework may get
very hot
The fluid escaping during bleeding can be very
hot. Wear protective clothing and cover the vent
hole with a cloth if required
ATTENTION
The indicated sequence of steps must be followed
during initial operation
The notes must be observed
8.1 Filling and bleeding of the system
– Fill the potable water circuit slowly until there are
no more air bubbles in the potable water circuit
inside the fresh water station
Pressure impacts during filling may cause damage
to the flow sensor
– The storage cylinder and potable water circuit have
to be flushed thoroughly before initial operation
– Check all connections for leaks and re-tighten if
required.
– Heat the buffer storage cylinder to a minimum
temperature of 70 °C.
8.2 Setting of the parameters at the electronic
controllers of the fresh water stations
– The transformer of the cascade control must not yet
be connected to the 230 V power supply
– Insert the plugs of all "Regtronic" controllers into
their mains sockets.
– Set the following values at all fresh water controllers
with due consideration of the installation and
operating instructions of the controller of the fresh
water station:
Controller parameters
Nominal hot water temperature: 60°C
Circulation:

Type of circulation:

Current data
According to the
specifications and
responsibility of the
user of the system
– To avoid malfunctions, the settings at all fresh water
controllers must be identical Exception: See system
example 4.8
– The cascade control set (consisting of actuators,
ball valves, transformer, flow sensor VFS and
cabling) is configured at works and does not require
any further settings.
DANGER
Danger to life and limb
Dangerous germs may develop at hot water
temperatures below 60 °C.
Never operate a fresh water cascade with
controller parameters that differ from the Oventrop
specifications. The temperature in the circulation
return has to achieve at least 55 °C. Optimise
circulation system if required
During thermal disinfection, the maximum
permissible temperatures of the pipework and
installation must be observed.
8.3 Note regarding thermal disinfection in a
cascading installation
Thermal disinfection has to be carried out
simultaneously by all fresh water stations "Regumaq
XZ". An error message can only be displayed at a
station which does not meet the criteria "T-disinf set"
and "Disinf duration".
If
thermal
disinfection
successfully by at least one fresh water station in the
cascade (i.e. at least one fresh water station without
error message), thermal disinfection of the preceding
sections of the circulation network is also guaranteed.
Display and reset of an error message:
Status/Messages/Confirm
NOTE
The potable water circuit has to be filled slowly to
avoid damage to the potable water circuit, see
point 8.1
The controller manual must be observed for a
correct setting of the controllers at the potable
water stations
8.4 Functional control and initialisation of the
cascade control
CAUTION
The rotary handles might rotate unexpectedly
during operation. This may lead to injuries caused
by crushing.
Do not touch the area between the rotary handle
and the casing whilst the actuators are running
Prevent access to the system for untrained
persons.
Disconnect the transformer from the power supply
during installation work.
