To replace the battery, switch off the HiLite pre 2 and then unscrew the cap at the end. Take out the used battery
and dispose of it correctly. Insert the new battery with the positive pole (+) first. Close the HiLite pre 2 by screwing the
end cap back in place.
7.2
Charging
Turn off the HiLite pre 2 during charging. Then connect the HiLite pre 2 with the magnetic charging clip and connect it
via the appropriate cable to the USB port of the power supply. Then plug the adapter into an electricity outlet.
Charging indication light:
Red (steady)
– charging.
Green (steady)
– fully charged, HiLite pre 2 is ready for operation.
Green (blinking) – measuring procedure, pre-charging (after total discharge of the battery or if not used for a long time)
can take up to 300 seconds.
Red (blinking)
– indicates an error (e.g. short circuit, check if the battery insert into the battery compartment
is correct).
7.3
Lens barrel (Speed Focus)
The HiLite pre 2 can be focused using the " Speed Focus " function. To adjust the beam simply push the head
of the HiLite pre 2 forwards or backwards with your thumb.
7.4
Turning ON and OFF
To turn HiLite pre 2 ON and OFF, push the button at the end of the hand piece to achieve maximum light output
The " Micro Controller Switch System " uses a micro-processor to control the illumination of the LED.
The HiLite pre 2 has three settings: Power Light , Low Power Light and Strobe Light .
Power Light (recommended!):
Push the button at the end of the HiLite pre 2 for continuous light or simply touch it for instant light.
Low Power Light:
Touch the button at the end of the HiLite pre 2 once and then switch on fully within 1 second.
Strobe Light:
Touch the button at the end of the HiLite pre 2 twice and then switch on fully within 1 second.

Cleaning
Clean the unit with a moist cloth, making sure that no water gets into the housing of the device. Do not use aggressive
detergents (abrasive powder, solvent).
NOTE
The hand piece charging contacts must be cleaned regularly and always after having carried out the cleaning
of the hand piece casing.
Dirty charging contact areas or contacts exposed to liquids, like cleaner or disinfectants, can negatively affect
the charging process and prevent the battery of being charged.
Clean the charging contact areas with an alcohol dampened soft lint free cloth or cotton swab.
