INSTRUCTIONS ON ASSEMBLY AND USE
EN
• Please do not alter or remove any parts of the helmet. It could lead to
dangerous consequences.
• The effect of coatings (paint), adhesives, detergents, chemicals and
solvents, severely damage the protective effect of the helmet. Clean
the helmet with lukewarm water.
• The product should not be stored behind glass panes, e.g. in the car
(fuel-glass effect) or near heating or warming sources. Uneven helmet
surfaces and bubble formation are signs of thermal damage and ren-
der the helmet unusable.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
HOW SHOULD THE HELMET FIT (Fig. 1)?
To ensure that the helmet fits correctly, it needs to be adapted to its
wearer. The helmet should clasp around the head well and should be
worn level. The front edge of the helmet should rest one to two fingers
wide above the nasal root so that the forehead remains protected, but it
does not hang too deep in the face and the sight is not impaired. Whether
the helmet is fastened securely can be tested by shaking the head lightly
with the chin straps open.
HOW DO I CORRECTLY ADJUST THE HELMET (Fig. 1 - 4)?
The integrated adjustment system can be continuously adjusted. In order
to reduce the helmet width, turn the rotary knob A to the right. In order to
increase it, turn the rotary knob A to the left. The helmet must sit firmly
and horizontally on the head. In order to check for the proper tension, the
helmet must be put on and the safety lock B closed. The strap divider
E should sit below the ears, the strap should not cover the ears. When
the mouth is open, the chin strap C should press against the chin. After
adjusting the straps, the protruding strap ends can be secured with the
retaining ring D and covered with the chin guard.
FASTEN/ REMOVE VISOR (if present, applies only to models with
visor)
To improve sun protection, the visor can be attached to the front part of
the helmet from below. To do this, hold the visor so that all its retaining
pins are in contact with a hole in the helmet shell at the same time. Press
the retaining pins in parallel into the holes. CAUTION: Bending the visor
can damage the item.
To remove the visor, press an outer retaining pin up evenly on the front
and rear edges of the visor. Then repeat the procedure with the centre pin
in the middle and finally with the other outer pin.
USING THE LEDS AND CHARGING THE BATTERY (Li-Ion, 3.7V, 1000mAh,
3.7Wh) (if available, only applies to models with LEDs) (Fig. 5 - 6)
The lighting units of the helmet are loaded and can be used immediately.
To use the LED function, press the push button (Fig. 5). Pressing the push
button has the following consequences:
Press once: continuous flashing / continuous illumination (3 sec.) in case
of strong movements
Press twice: continuous illumination / flashing (3 sec.) of the rear lights in
case of strong movements
Press a third time: deactivates the LED function
The lighting units are not completely waterproof, therefore it is not
advisable to use them in damp weather.
Depending on the circumstances, the continuous battery life is up to
10 hours. If batteries are completely discharged, there is a risk of deep
discharge. Do not switch the unit on again until the battery is fully charged.
Please use the enclosed USB cable for this purpose. For charging remove
the dust plug from the unit (fig. 6) and plug in the USB cable. A charging
process takes about 4 hours and can be carried out at any suitable USB-A
socket. The socket must have a voltage of 5 Volts, the current strength
must be 1-2 Ampere. Do not charge the light units via your computer,
mobile phone or other devices that could be damaged. The helmet reports
charging activity with all 4 LED units flashing all around. When the flashing
stops, the battery is fully charged. To conserve the battery and prolong the
runtime during use, please turn off the light when not in use.
