Installing the device

WARNING! Electrocution hazard
The installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The device is attached directly to the engine with cable ties and triggered by the engine vibration.
7.1 Mounting the device
➤ Install the D+ Active Simulator with cable ties on a suitable place (for example: wiring harness,
rubber tubes and pipes) which are close to the engine, but far enough from the hot engine
(fig. 1, page 3).

• The installation must not affect the operation of the engine.
• The vehicle manufacturer's specifications must be observed.
• Do not install the device on any metal engine parts.
7.2 Connecting the device
➤ Connect the device as illustrated (fig. 3, page 5).

• Make sure the cables cannot touch any part with temperature over 100°C.
• Attach the cables without any tensile force.
