Finishing work and cleaning the unit

1. Turn off the turbine.
2. Turn off the power cart.
3. Pull safety/pressure-relief valve until pressure has been
completely released (pressure gauge indicates zero).
4. Open pressure-tank lid.
Caution! Do not open cover until pressure has
been released (pressure gauge indicated zero)!

5. Press trigger on gun until material no longer exits at
nozzle.
Caution! Never spray into a container with only a
small opening (bunghole)! See safety regulations.
Attention
6. Pour remaining paint in pressure tank back into original
container.
7. Clean plastic insert thoroughly with a suitable cleaning
agent.
Important: always keep pressure-tank lid seal free of
paint residue and check for damage! Lubricate lid seal
with Vaseline (silicone-free grease).
8. Figure 17 - Pressure-tank lid air-inlet hole: always make
sure that air-inlet hole (1) in pressure-tank lid is open!

9. Pour a suitable cleaning agent into the pressure tank.
Close the pressure tank's lid and tighten the wing nuts.
Only use cleaning agents with a flash point of less
than 21 °C.

10. Switch off turbo-blower
11. Switch on main switch.
12. Set pressure between 0 and 2.5 bar (0.25 MPa, 36 PSI)
on pressure tank regulator.
13. Press trigger on spray gun, until solvent or water exits
from nozzle. Then completely empty pressure tank.
Never spray into a container with only a small
opening (bunghole)! See safety regulations.

The pressure tank must not remain filled with
solvent!

14. Wipe the outer surfaces of the FineCoat spray gun with a
cloth soaked in a suitable cleaning agent.
Note: Do not leave the FineCoat spray gun immersed
in solvent for extended periods! The seals may swell,
preventing them from functioning properly.
15. Unscrew adjusting ring, remove air cap and spring plate.
Unscrew nozzle. Clean air cap, tip and needle with a
brush and suitable cleaning agent.
Note: Never use sharp metal objects to clean the nozzles
or air channels of the FineCoat spray gun.
16. Figure 18 - Apply a fine coat of silicone-free oil to the
marked areas.
17. If the paint spray gun is not used for any length of time, it
should be cleaned and protected by applying a fine coat of
silicone-free oil.
