6. During operation
The following section describes the Ants LES01 during operation.
6.1 Operating modes
Possible statuses during operation of the Ants LES01 are normal operation and locked mode.
6.1.1 Normal operation
The device is in normal mode after it has been switched on. The device provides position data every
2 ms.
6.1.2 Error mode (locked mode)
An error code is issued in the event of an error and the Ants LES01 is locked. In this case, the
Ants LES01 can only be reset by an evaluation unit. The evaluation unit can also be a component of
the elevator control unit, which can/may perform a reset.
The troubleshooting routines under 8.1 must always be carried out and observed. For this purpose,
refer to the description of the exchange protocol in the annex.
6.2 Faults
6.2.1 The Ants LES01 does not communicate with the control unit:
• Check the supply voltage.
• Check the correct connection of the 4 wires.
• Ensure that the connection to the CAN bus is installed correctly. If necessary, check the
transmission of data with a CAN monitor.
• Ensure that the evaluation unit is compatible with the Ants LES01. Consult the operating manual
of the evaluation unit (R60953.0009) for how to carry out a reset in case of an error.
• Ensure that the band has been installed with the correct orientation.
• Inspect the sliding jaw for coarse wear.
If an error persists, please contact the manufacturer.
6.3 Resetting
In case of an error, the Ants LES01 is switched to a locked state. Positions are no longer transmitted in
this state. See section 6.1.2.
