6. Assembling the internal switch cabinet

6.1
Selecting the location
When selecting the location for the switch cabinet, the following must be taken into account:
Height above the highest water level in the tank in order to avoid overflow and water intake in
the open channel in the case of damage.
The system generates noise! The solenoid valves located in the cabinet generate a clicking
noise when they open and close, and the air compressor located in the system generates a
longer continuous noise (comparable to a freezer).
The switch cabinet requires an electrical Isolator Switch with 16 amp, slow blow. The Isolator
Switch serves as a mains disconnecting device and must be easily accessible at all times.
Additional electrical appliances must not be connected to this Isolator Switch as electrical fail-
ure may disrupt operation.
The switch cabinet must be located in a dry, cool and well-ventilated space. The cabinet, in
particular the ventilation openings and the circuit breaker, must not be covered and must be
freely accessible for maintenance work.
The air hoses must be no longer than 20 metres.
6.2
Assembling the EPP interior cabinet
In order to fasten the cabinet, 2x M10 holes must be made on-site at the
designated locations with a horizontal distance of 28 cm. The front of
the cabinet is secured with a screw located above the control unit. This
must be unfastened from the front before opening. After installation of
the wall plugs and hanger bolts, the EPP cabinet can be placed on the
hanger bolts at the designated openings and can be fixed to the wall
using the washers and wing screws.
6.3
Assembling the steel cabinet
Four wall brackets are supplied for wall assembly. For cabinets with
Becker compressors, these are pre-assembled. For cabinets with Nitto
compressors, these are to be attached to the rear side of the cabinet
using the supplied screws.
4x M10 holes are to be made at the designated points on the wall. After
installation of the wall plugs, the screws are inserted into the holes up to
1.5 cm. The cabinet and the wall brackets can then be placed onto the
screws. Once the cabinet has been mounted onto all four screws, the
screws can be fastened tightly.
