3- Place the fork as shown in photo 3 and lock it (see schedule 8.1)
4- Take the handlebar and secure it to the fork plate with the two u-bolts
and the 2 handlebar spacers, locking all the parts with the M8x65
screws (photo 4) (Schedule 8.1).
5- Secure the water pump with the special screws and connect the
stoplights pin (photo 5).
6- Remove the throttle control cover and fit the cable as shown in photo
6. Re-fit the cover (see section 6.7).
7- Fit the clutch lever and adjust the travel of the lever as you prefer
using the regulator (see section 6.8)
8- Connect the speed sensor to the speedometer (photo 7) and place the
cable not to cover the speedometer viewer
9- Remove the saddle (see section 6.1), unscrew the plastic sides (photo
8) to take the tank off, disconnecting the fuel tube from the tap.
10- Connect the handlebar controls to the engine harness and fix all the
cables with the clamps (photo 9-10).
11- Take the battery out from the crate, fill it up with the liquid and place
it in its housing (photo 11). Connect the terminals to the battery.
WARNING. First connect the red cable (positive), being careful not
to create contacts between the terminal and the frame. Pull hard the
fastening elastic and secure it in its housing under the spark plug.
12- Fit the tank, sides and saddle.
13- Fit the footrest support first on the engine with the four Allen screws
M8X20 and then on the chassis with 2 M8X20 screws and 2
self-locking nuts (photo 12).
14- Fit the footrests as shown in photo 13, with M8X40 screws and
self-locking nuts. Then fit the vibration-damping footrests covers.
(photo 14).
15- Place the padlock on the fixing bracket (photo 15).
16- Inflate the front and rear tyres (see section 6.10).
FRONT
1,5 BAR - 21,8 PSI
17- Fit the gear lever (photo 16).
18- Fill the fuel tank (see section 6.14).
19- Check the engine oil level (see section 6.3). Remove the cap of the
engine oil breather pipe and connect the tube placed next to the pipe.
REMIND. Always ensure that the motorcycle has been efficiently
serviced and check it over before riding it. Take your motorcycle to an
authorised POLINI MOTORI dealer for all major servicing and repair.
Because of the manufacturer's policy of continuous development, and

differ in some details from what described in the illustrations and text

improved efficiency for your motorcycle.

2. INSTRUMENT PANEL, IGNITION KEYS AND LOCKS (photos
18-19-20).
1- Starter switch (hanged up on the bike) (photo 17)

REAR

4- Horn button
5- Headlights flashing
6- Starter button
7- Engine disconnection. Warning! It doesn't work to switch off the bike!
8- Warning! Light is not working!

10- Turn signal light
11- Speedometer, battery level indicator, oil change and coupon, watch
and chronometer. Bike is provided with the following standard
parameters:

3. OPERATIONS BEFORE RIDING THE BIKE
Check the oil and fuel level and leakages, tyres pressure and conditions,
brake liquid level and the pads conditions. Check that brakes, throttle
cable control, lights (front and rear ones, turn signals, and stop) and
horn are fully efficient. Then proceed as follows:
1- Turn the fuel tap located under the fuel tank to "ON" position (photo
21).
2- Before starting the engine put the gear in neutral position and the
stand bent up (photo 22, gear N).
3- If the engine is cold, lift the choke lever on the carburettor (photo 23).
4- Turn the key to "ON" position
WARNING. Lower the starter lever again as soon as the engine
starts to warm up, avoiding to touch the engine.
3.1 KICK PEDAL STARTING
Leave the throttle at a minimum. Pivot the kick-start lever outwards and
push energetically downwards with your foot to start the engine. Return
the kick-start lever to its rest position. Leave the engine idle for a few
minutes to warm it up.
WARNING. Accelerate and decelerate gently rotating the hand grip
to avoid the motorcycle could jump forwards, causing you to lose control.
3.2 ELECTRIC STARTING
Pull the clutch lever to open the safety contact and push the starting
button till the bike starts.
WARNING. Never start the bike indoor.
4. RUNNING IN
Run your new motorcycle in as instructed below to ensure that the
engine and transmission bed in correctly and to ensure continuous
reliability in future.
WARNING. The running in operations must be done by people over
16 and always under the supervision of an adult or qualified people.
WARNING. The first time you ride your new motorcycle, ride for about
two hours at low engine speed to ensure that it runs in correctly.
Also respect the following precautions:
1- Once the engine starts, leave it idle until it warms up to normal
temperature.
