MOUNTING THE TABLE SAW
If table saw is to be used in a permanent loca-
tion, it should be fastened securely to a firm
supporting surface such as a stand or work-
bench, using the four mounting holes (Fig. 22).
1. If mounting to a workbench, the base should
be securely bolted using the carriage bolts
and locking nuts (use the same fasteners as
are used for mounting the tool to the stand).
2. Place the tool on the workbench and secure-
ly clamp in place.
3. Use a pencil to mark the locations of all 4
mounting holes.
4. Remove the saw from the workbench and
drill clearance holes (5/16 inch) in all 4 loca-
tions.
5. Place tool on workbench and thread nuts
onto the carriage bolts. Washers may need
to be used in order to prevent damage to the
workbench.
