4 Operating check
After selecting the functions required using DIP-Switch 1, check that the control unit and the external units
connected to the card are functioning correctly, by checking the state of the relative LED's.
The control unit has a control panel with open/close push-buttons, a thermostat command enabling switch
and a rain/wind input enabling switch.
4.1 Manual open/close push-buttons
These buttons are used to open and close the windows connected to the control unit and only operate if the
mains power supply is ON. The buttons have two different operating logics which can be set using Dip-
switch 1.
OFF POSITION – Spring-return push-buttons: the operator command is only given for the time in which the
push-button is pressed; when the button is released, the command is stopped.
ON POSITION – Maintained push-buttons: when you press the buttons, the command is given to the
windows until the limit switch is reached; the maximum duration is 150 seconds.
If the windows reach the limit switch before the work time runs out, movement is stopped automatically.
If you must stop the windows immediately, press both push-buttons at the same time.
If the push-button for one direction is pressed while it is moving in the other direction, the movement is
reversed immediately.
Thermostat ON/OFF switch (TEO 3)
This switch enables the automatic window open and close command function based on the temperature
detected by the thermostat.
OFF POSITION – The thermostat function is OFF.
ON POSITION – The thermostat function is ON, with the following functions: when the temperature
exceeds the value set on the thermostat, the control unit opens the windows for the time set using Dip-
Switches 2 and 3. When the temperature drops below the temperature set on the thermostat, the control
unit closes the windows for the same time.
Automatic functioning of the thermostat has priority over the signals sent by the control panel positioned on
the container cover, the centralised control and the external push-button.
Rain/wind input ON/OFF switch (PV 2)
This switch enables the automatic closing function when the rain and wind sensors are triggered.
OFF POSITION – The input function is OFF.
ON POSITION – The input function is ON: the control unit command automatic closing when the rain and
wind sensors are triggered.
This command is only possible for a closing movement, even if there is mains power cut, provided the
buffer battery is installed.
