5 Preparation for use
CAUTION
Incorrect alignment, assembly or adjustment
Injuries due to incorrectly installed or adjusted as well as damaged prosthetic components
Observe the alignment, assembly and adjustment instructions.
INFORMATION
Normalise the prosthetic foot each time after tightening screw connections.
Perform retraining after every change to the prosthetic alignment.
Normalising: Take the load off the prosthetic foot and, in the Galileo™ app, press the Nor­
malise button. See the instructions for the Galileo™ app for more information.
Retraining: Follow the instructions in the Galileo™ app.
5.1 Preparation
1) Turn on the prosthetic foot by pressing the main switch (see Page 27).
2) INFORMATION: The LED only indicates the charging process if the prosthetic foot is
switched on.
Charge the battery of the prosthetic foot (see Page 26).
3) Pull the footshell over the prosthetic foot (see Page 31).
5.2 Alignment
INFORMATION
To perform the prosthesis setup, the Galileo™ App is required.
Establish the Bluetooth connection between the Galileo™ app and the prosthetic foot as
described in the instructions for use of the Galileo™ app. You can find the instructions for
use in the main menu of the app under the Help menu item. When the connection has been
established, the LED on the back of the prosthetic foot lights up green for 5 seconds.
Activate the mode for orthopaedic technicians with the activation code on the sticker in this
document. (Settings>Activate Prosthetist Mode).
If the user would like to control the prosthetic foot with the Galileo™ app: delete the
user's Bluetooth coupling to release the memory (see Page 29).
INFORMATION
There is a plastic adapter cover on the proximal connection of the prosthetic foot. This protects
the connecting section from scratches during the alignment and trial fitting.
Remove the adapter cover before the patient leaves the workshop/fitting area.
5.2.1 Bench Alignment
TT bench alignment
Required materials: 662M4 goniometer, 743S12 heel height measuring apparatus, 743A80 50:50 gauge,
alignment apparatus (e.g. 743L200 L.A.S.A.R. Assembly or 743A200 PROS.A. Assembly)
Perform the assembly and alignment of the prosthetic components in the alignment apparatus according to
the following specifications:
Sagittal plane
Call up the Initial Setup function in the Galileo™ app and carry out the Initial Heel Height step.
   
The neutral position of the prosthetic foot is set to the heel height in the alignment apparatus.
Heel height: Effective heel height (shoe heel height - sole thickness of forefoot) + 5 mm
