6. Product Information

6.1 How it works

The linear unit is used for linear processing and positioning. A trapezoidal spindle drive moves the
slot(s) (pipe system for linear unit E-II) into their position(s). This motion can be effected manually
with a handwheel or by an electric drive. The slots or guidance profile are secured against rotation
by a wedge.

6.2 Designs/Guidance concept

This linear unit is available in the designs and guidance versions given here.

After receiving this linear unit, check the device for possible damage and missing components.

Notify RK Rose+Krieger GmbH of any faults found immediately.
The linear unit is delivered ready for operation, but without a control system and without acces-
sories.

Guidance pipe: Precision pipe to DIN EN 10305, stainless steel section, material 1.4301, peak-to-
valley height R = 0.4 µm

Spindle bearing: sealed deep groove ball bearings, floating bearings to order (Teflon coated)

livered ready for operation, but without a control system and without accessories.
