STARTING PROCEDURE

Engine Cranking requires a large amount of current and as such will heat the components inside.
On/off cycles of cranking of this product MUST be followed.
The engine that requires starting must be in a good mechanical condition as pro-longed cranking is not possible.
When attempting to crank vehicles equipped with large capacity batteries or in severe climates (cold) it will be necessary to
charge the battery for approximately 15 minutes to avoid the appliance drawing excess amperage and tripping the mains supply.
CAUTION! It is not possible to use the starting facility connected to a standard 12 Amp domestic supply.
TO START:
1.
Check polarity of battery posts.
Battery case will be marked by each post: POSITIVE (POS, P, +) and NEGATIVE (NEG; N, -). NOTE: The positive battery
post usually has a larger diameter than the negative post.
2.
Connect POSITIVE (RED) cable to appropriate output pole with desired voltage.
3.
Connect POSITIVE (RED) charger clip to POSITIVE (POS, P, +) post of battery.
Connect NEGTIVE (BLACK) charger clip to NEGTIVE (BLACK, N, -) post of battery. Rock clip back and forth to make good
connection.
WARNING: Do not face battery when making final connection.
4.
Plug charger AC cord into a 220 volt main supply.
5.
Switch on charger and then START
6.
Start car engine.
7.
Switch off the charger.
8.
Disconnect the charger from car with reverse order.
If the vehicle does not start with an attempt, stop within 3 second, moves switch to "CHARGE" and wait for 120 seconds (2
minutes) before trying again. 5 cycles maximum
TROUBLESHOOTING
Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
FAULT
No power light while switched on (before
using).
No power light while switched on (during
use).
Power light without output current.
MAINTENANCE
After use the machine should be cleaned of any dirt or grease before coiling up the leads and storing it away in a dry, clean
environment out of the reach of children.
DISPOSAL
Selective collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment
Electrical equipment must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pursuant to European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment, and its transposition into
national law, waste electrical equipment must be collected separately and disposed of in designated collection points.
Contact the local authorities or the vendor for advice on recycling.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Blown fuse in mains plug
Overheating caused time delay fuse to
activate
Over current fuse blown.

SOLUTION
Check and replace with an identical fuse
Switch off machine and allow time for
charger to cool. The fuse will reset itself.
Check fuse on front panel and replace
check connection polarity.
