During the test run check to ensure that
the axis system can move freely.
Alignment errors, offset, tension in the
system lead to temporary or permanent
sluggishness of movement.

Gradually increase the speed until the
maximum positioning speed during oper-
ation is reached.

Conclude the test run.
7 Operation
Note
Buckled or damaged shafts and couplings will break after a certain period.
S Make sure that the components of the KSK are not damaged and that unfore-
seen fracture of the shaft cannot cause any injury to humans (by providing
e.g. a protective screen or covers).

Care and maintenance

Tighten any coupling screws which are loose.
S
Make sure the couplings are not damaged.
If a coupling is defective, x-axis 1 will drag x-axis 2 on the slide. Such drag
operation will considerably reduce the service life of the axes.
Otherwise the KSK-.. does not require any maintenance.
