Maintenance and care

Warning
Uncontrolled moving masses can cause personal injury and material damage (risk of
crushing).
If a toothed belt breaks in combination with a vertically or diagonally installed ELGA, the
work mass will fall down.
• In case of signs of wear, return the ELGA to Festo for repair.
Controller signals can cause the ELGA to make unintended movements.
• Switch off the controller for all maintenance work on the ELGA and secure it to pre-
vent it from being switched back on unintentionally.
Cleaning and maintenance:
• Clean the ELGA as required with a soft cloth.
Any media which will not damage the material may be used as cleaning agents.
• For ELGA-TB-...-PO, check the installation space of the guide and toothed belt for foreign objects
and remove these if present.
