3.2 Combustible Finish

NOTE: If you desire to run finishing material up to edge of the discharge
opening, see the drawing below.

3.2.1 Drywall Finish
IMPORTANT: Additional 1" (25mm) combustible trim on top of existing
materials is NOT allowed inside the side shelf enclosure (Section 2.3
Minimum Shelf Requirements on page 9).
1" (25mm) combustible material goes on top of any required non-
combustible material required on the fireplace as shown in Figures
3.1 and 3.2 on page 10.
Up to 1" (25mm) thick combustible material up to edge of the air discharge grille.
