Mobile phone coupling

The connection between the hands-free device and the mobile telephone is established using a free-of-
®
charge Bluetooth radio connection. The mobile telephone has to be manually linked to the hands-free
device in order to establish the Bluetooth
Carry out the coupling as described in the following. Read and abide by the operating instructions given
in the handbook supplied by the mobile telephone manufacturer when entering the settings in the mobile
telephone.

Switch the ignition and the mobile telephone on.


Activate the Bluetooth
in the surroundings. The mobile telephone displays a list of the devices found.

Select "TPK_Music" on the mobile telephone.


Confirm the Bluetooth
A password request will be displayed on the mobile telephone.

Enter "0000" as the password. If an incorrect password has been entered, the coupling process is
cancelled and you have to select the "TPK_Music" device again in the list of devices found.

Depending on the mobile telephone, a question may be asked if this Bluetooth
established in the future without the coupling being requested again. Confirm this request by pressing
"Yes" to enable the Bluetooth
hands-free system is turned on.
The mobile telephone is now coupled and connected to the hands-free system via Bluetooth
of the coupled mobile telephone and the mobile telephone network are displayed.
The data are transferred from the telephone book (SIM card) and the address book (telephone memory)
to the hands-free device. This may take a few seconds depending on the size of the data saved. All
entries might not be transferred if the phone book synchronisation process is interrupted, e.g. by an
incoming call. In this case, the telephone book can be resynchronised manually
 More > Settings > Device > Telephone book options > Load telephone book.
Coupled mobile telephones will be saved in the hands-free device's telephone list. If a mobile telephone
was first coupled with the hands-free system, the connection to the first mobile telephone must be
interrupted before coupling the second mobile telephone. If two mobile telephones are saved in the list,
multi-point can be activated in the Bluetooth settings
 4.2 Coupling or connecting a second mobile telephone (multi-point).

4.1 Automatically connecting mobile telephone (auto-connection)

If Auto connection is active in the Bluetooth settings then a search will be run for already coupled mobile
telephones as soon as the ignition or the hands-free device is switched on. Firstly the last connected
mobile telephone or that set as "Standard" will be connected. If no connection can be made to this mobile
telephone, the next previously coupled mobile telephone will be connected which can be found
 More > Settings > Bluetooth > Auto- connection.

4.2 Coupling and connecting a second mobile telephone (multi-point)

If Multi-point is activated in the Bluetooth settings, a further mobile telephone can be coupled and
connected in addition to a previously connected mobile telephone
 More > Settings > Bluetooth > Multi-point.
Multi-point can only be activated if two mobile telephones have been previously coupled and saved in the
telephone list of the Touch Phone-Kit Music  4 Coupling mobile telephone.
If two mobile telephones are connected at the same time, the names of both mobile telephones will be
displayed at the top of the screen. Calls can be made via both of the connected mobile telephones via
the hands-free system and music can be played  6.1
Via the Touch Phone-Kit Music telephone functions, such as Dial number, Telephone book, Call lists,
Text message/E-mail etc. can only be called up for the mobile telephone shown on the left of the screen.
