When suspicious of
malfunction
Check the following items before you contact us for service.
When this happens
Rice cooking or other
kinds of cooking cannot
be performed.
The rice cooker gives off
sounds while cooking ,
steaming or warming.
When synchro-cooking
is performed, ingredients
are stuck on the inside of
the lid.
Water or rice entered
inside the main body.
The lid cannot be
closed, or it opens while
cooking
The rice cooker does not
respond even when any
key is pressed.
The rice cooker smells
like plastic.
Patterns of lines and
waves are shown on the
plastic parts.
The Keep Warm lamp
blinks.

Check this point
Is the insert plug inserted to
the outlet?
"Click-click" sound.
"Splash" sound.
"Splash" sound of water.
(only while cooking or
steaming)
A sound different from any
of above sounds is given off.
In the case of cooking a dish which contains eggs, ingredients
are expanded by heat and may be stuck on the inside of the
lid. If this worries you, reduce the amount of ingredients.
This may cause a malfunction. Contact the dealer where you
purchased the rice cooker for service.
Is rice or grain stuck on
the upper casing or hook
button?
Is the insert plug inserted to
the outlet?
Is Keep Warm lamp ON?
At the beginning of use, the cooker may smell like plastic.
However, the smell will be reduced as you use the cooker.
These patterns are produced in the process of molding plastic.
They do not affect the performance of the rice cooker.
Do you want to keep warm
for 12 hours or more?
An error occurred in the rice cooker. Remove the plug and con-
tact the dealer where you purchased the rice cooker for service.

Insert the plug securely to outlet.
This is the sound of computer
controls.
It does not mean a malfunction.
This sound is generated due to
rubbing of heat shrinkable metals.

Remove it.
Insert the plug securely to outlet.
Press the [Off / Cancel] key to
cancel the keep warm function.
Then, try it again.
If the keep warm time exceeds
12 hours, the Keep Warm lamp
blinks to notify you.
