12.1 Additional troubleshooting help for the TIMAX module
The following information may also be of assistance, in addition to the general
troubleshooting help given in section 12.
Possible faults:
The TIMAX module cannot be set:
Battery is not/incorrectly inserted. Re-insert the battery.
(See section 11.2.1)
A beep is heard when switching on, if the middle START button is pressed:
The module is not clipped onto the valve. Clip the module onto the valve.
(See section 8.1, Fig. 8A)
Battery symbol is visible:
Battery must be replaced. (See section 11.2.1)
TIMAX setting cannot be corrected (RESET does not work):
• The UP and DOWN buttons were not pressed simultaneously.
• Pressure has already built up inside the pan. Continue cooking without the
TIMAX module. (See section 9.2)
TIMAX bleeps before the desired cooking level ring appears:
• The module is not clipped on properly. Re-clip the module.
(See section 8.1, Fig. 8A)
• The valve screw is not tight. Tighten the valve screw. (See section 11.1.3)
Condensation in the indicator window:
This will disappear again and will not impair the function of the TIMAX module
in any way.
13. Guarantee
KUHN RIKON Ltd. guarantees its cookware for 10 years against faulty materials
and poor workmanship (proof of purchase required). Excludes wearing parts
such as fittings and rubber seal etc. This warranty does not include damage due
to overheating, soiling, scratches, discolouration.
The TIMAX casing should never be opened (except for the battery compart-
ment), as this will invalidate any guarantee claims. UK: This guarantee is in ad-
dition to your statutory rights.
