It is easy to convert from one gas family to another even after the
boiler has been installed. This operation must be performed by
professionally qualifi ed staff. The boiler is designed to work with
natural gas or LPG. The product plate indicates which fuel it has
been fi tted out to use.
It is possible to convert the boiler from one kind of gas to the other
using kits which can be supplied on request:
- natural gas to LPG conversion kit
- LPG to natural gas conversion kit.
To disassemble, proceed as follows:
- disconnect the boiler from the power supply and close the gas
tap
- remove the components to access to the internal parts of the
boiler (fi g. 79-80)
- disconnect the two burner thermostat fastons from the wiring (MIX
C.S.I. - MIX R.S.I.)
- disconnect the sparkplug cable
- remove the lower cable holder from the air distribution box (MIX
C.S.I. - MIX R.S.I.)
- remove the screws fi xing the burner and remove the latter with
the burner thermostat (MIX C.S.I. - MIX R.S.I.) and the sparkplug
attached
- remove the nozzles and washers with a socket or fork wrench
and replace them with the ones in the kit
Use the washers contained in the kit even for washerless col-
lectors.
- put back the burner into the combustion chamber and tighten the
screws fi xing it to the gas collector
- position the cable holder with the sparkplug cable in its seat on
the air distribution box (MIX C.S.I. - MIX R.S.I.)
- reconnect the burner thermostat terminals to the wiring (MIX
C.S.I. - MIX R.S.I.)
- reconnect the spark plug cable
- remount components previously removed
- power the boiler and open the gas tap (with the boiler working,
check there are no leaks in the gas supply circuit).
Programme the "Gas type" parameter and adjust the boiler as
described in the "Adjustments" chapter.
The boiler may only be converted by qualifi ed staff.
After conversion, adjust the boiler again as shown in the
relative paragraph and apply the new rating plate contained
in the kit.

CHECKING COMBUSTION PARAMETERS

To ensure the product remains in perfect working order, and to
comply with current legislation, systematically check the boiler at
regular intervals.
To analyse combustion, proceed as follows:
- access the CALIBRATION & SERVICE phase by setting the
password as indicated in chapter "Adjustments"
- turn the domestic hot water temperature selector to maximum
heating power (parameter HH).
The boiler works at maximum power for 4 minutes.
C.A.I. - R.A.I.:
- the hole for inserting analysis instruments must be made in the
section of straight pipe immediately after it leaves the hood in
compliance with current law (A, fi g. 81a).
MIX C.S.I. - MIX R.S.I.:
- use appropriate tools on the taps fi tted to the air distribution box
after removing the cover (B, fi g. 81b/c).
The fi rst tap is connected to the air intake circuit and detects infi l-
tration of fumes from concentric outlets; the second is directly con-
nected to the fumes outlet circuit and is used to detect combustion
parameters and effi ciency.
The fumes analysis probe must be fully inserted.
IMPORTANT: the function that switches off the boiler when water
temperature reaches a maximum of about 90 °C is still enabled
during the combustion analysis phase.
