2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER!
Before assembling and using the ma-
chine, read and fully understand this
user manual.
This machine meets all the European
standards in force during production.
Despite this, improper use or inadequate
maintenance might increase the risk of ac-
cident.
In order to reduce such a risk, carefully
read the safety instructions shown below
and pay attention to the danger symbols
on the following pages.
General indications:
1. Minors under 16 and persons who have
drunk alcohol, are on medication or have
taken drugs may not use the machine;
2. The electromagnetic field generated
by the engine or by the electrical circuit
could interfere with pacemaker devices.
Pacemaker wearers MUST consult their
doctor before using the machine;
3. Do not start up the machine when you
are in front of the tools nor approach it
when it is running. When pulling the en-
gine starter cord (if there is one) the tool
and the machine itself must remain still (if
they move, intervene following the adjust-
ment instructions);
4. Walk, do not run, when working;
5. The engine MUST remain off while the
machine is transported and all the main-
tenance, cleaning, tool and accessory
changing operations;
6. Only move away from the machine after
turning off the engine and parking it in a
stable position and safely;
7. Do not start up the machine where accu-
mulation of exhaust fumes can occur;
8. Be careful of the exhaust pipe. Nearby
parts can reach 80°. Change used or de-
fective muffler;
9. Do not work on ground with slopes of
more than 25° without using the special
tools/accessories for working on slopes
(see the "Working on Slopes Specifica-
tions" paragraph). Be very careful when in-
verting the direction of travel or when pulling
the machine towards you;
10. Before starting work with the machine,
carry out a visual and physical inspection
