AFTER USE

Raise the Pad Motor Deck (1), then drive the machine to a service area.

Turn the Main Power Switch (24) OFF (O) and remove the key.

Press down on the Brake Foot Pedal (14) and set the parking brake by pushing forward on the Parking Brake Set / Release Lever (13).

Remove the burnishing pad, rinse the pad with warm water and hang it up to dry. NOTE: Allow pad to dry completely before using again.

Check the Dust Collection Bag (5) if over half full or damaged remove and replace with a new bag.

Check the maintenance schedule and perform any required maintenance.

Wipe the machine with a damp cloth, then store the machine in a clean, dry place.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Check Foot/ Parking Brake For Wear & Adjustment
Check Carbon Brush Wear On Pad/Drive/ Actuator Motors
NOTE: Refer to the Service Manual Form No. 56043042 for more detail on all maintenance items mentioned in this manual.

BATTERY MAINTENANCE

Charge the batteries each time the machine is used for 1 hour or longer, or whenever the Battery Condition Indicator Lights (31) light up red.
To Charge the Batteries...

Open the Battery / Controller Compartment Cover (21) to provide proper ventilation.

Push the connector from the charger into the Machine Battery Charger Port (16) on the side of the machine.

Follow the instructions on the battery charger.

Check the fluid level in all battery cells after charging the batteries. Add distilled water, if necessary, to bring the fluid level up to the bottom of the filler
tubes.
CAUTION!
Acid can spill onto the floor if the batteries are overfilled.
To avoid damage to floor surfaces, wipe water and acid from the top of the batteries after charging.

LUBRICATING THE MACHINE

Once a month pump grease into each grease fitting (zerk) on the machine (total of 10) until grease seeps out around the bearings.
Grease fitting locations are:
Qty 1 - Steering Wheel Shaft Universal Joint
Qty 3 - Drive Wheel Differential Bearings
Qty 1 - Rear Steering Spindle Bearing
Qty 3 - Rear Steering Chain Sprocket Bearings
Qty 2 - Rear Wheel Hub Bearings
