Pump reassembly

General instructions
Clean all dismantled components and check them for signs of
wear. Damaged or worn components are to be replaced by
original spare parts. Make sure that the seal faces are clean
and undamaged and that the sealing elements are properly
fitted. New sealing elements should be used whenever the
pump is reassembled.
Reassembly is effected in reverse order to dismantling. Use the
sectional drawing
(p.
62) and the list of components
orientation.
Tightening torque for screws and impeller: 2.5 Nm
j
1.
Insert circlip 932 into rotor 818.
2.
Mount rolling element bearings 321.01 and 321.02 on the
rotor (rolling element bearing 321.02 must rest against the
circlip).
3.
Apply lubricant to joint rings 412.15 and 421 and to the
gasket of mechanical seal seat ring 433.02.
4.
Mount the joint rings and the mechanical seal seat ring on
bearing bracket 330.
5.
Insert the rotor assembly in the bearing bracket such that
it rests against rolling element bearing 321.02.
6.
Place the rotor assembly with the bearing bracket in upright
position. Fill 0.10 litres of oil (F- -impeller) or 0.13 litres
of oil (S- -impeller) into the bearing bracket via the seat of
mechanical seal 433.02.
7.
Before installing the mechanical seal check the contact
faces for damage and coat with a drop of oil.
8.
Wet the inside diameter of the spring--loaded ring with
soapy water (do not use oil). Push the spring--loaded ring
carefully along the shaft until it rests against the seat ring.
Use assembly tool 969 provided in the spare parts set.
9.
Coat the threaded shaft end with glue and screw the
impeller onto the shaft.
10. On single--phase a.c. pump sets, the capacitor 837 must
be re--installed in its original position in pump casing 100.
11. Align the bearing bracket so that the groove marking points
towards the cable entry side of the pump casing. Then
insert the complete rotor assembly (818+330+230) care-
fully into the pump casing.
12. Tighten screws 914.02 gently, then firmly.
13. Place O--ring 412.10 into suction cover 162 and assemble
the suction cover with the pump casing.
14. Tighten screws 914.03 gently, then firmly.
15. Connect stator wires 81--59 to cable gland 834.
16. Place the cable gland (with joint ring) onto the pump casing.
17. Tighten screws 914.01.
18. Turn impeller 230 by hand to check that it turns smoothly.
7.5 Dismantling the pump (S- -impeller)
General instructions
Repair and maintenance work must only be performed by
specially trained personnel.
Observe the safety regulations laid down in section 7.1.
The pump set shall be dismantled in accordance with the asso-
ciated sectional drawing on p. 64.
1.
Undo screws 914.01 at cable gland 834.
2.
Take the cable gland off the pump casing 100.
3.
Disconnect the cable gland from the stator 81--59.
4.
Undo screws 914.03 on suction cover 162.
5.
Remove the suction cover.
6.
Undo screws 914.06 at the suction cover to dismantle ring
500 (having marked its installation position).
7.
Dismantle impeller screw 914.04, disc 556, cutter 23--7,
impeller 230 and grooved pin 561.
8.
Undo screws 914.02 on bearing bracket 330.
9.
Position the pump with the suction opening pointing
upwards and pull out the entire rotor assembly (818 + 330)
by the shaft.
10. Push the spring--loaded mechanical seal ring 433.02 along
the shaft.
11. Drain the bearing bracket.
12. Pull the bearing bracket off the rotor assembly.
13. Remove the seat ring of mechanical seal 433.02 and shaft
seal ring 421 from the bearing bracket.
(p.
63) for
14. Take circlip 932 off the rotor assembly.
15. Pull the rolling element bearings 321.01 and 321.02 off the
rotor assembly.
16. Take the second circlip 932 off the rotor assembly.
