 The signal transmission range of the re-
mote control transmitter varies depending
on the mounting position of the receiver. To
operate the Yamaha Security System cor-
rectly, use the transmitter as close as pos-
sible from the receiver.
 If the Yamaha Security System does not
operate correctly, repeat the activating
procedure.
2. Place the remote control lever in " "
(neutral).
TIP:
The start-in-gear protection device prevents
the engine from starting except when in neu-
tral.
3. Attach the engine shut-off cord to a se-
cure place on your clothing, or your arm
or leg. Then install the clip on the other
end of the cord into the engine shut-off
switch.
