5. Set-up / installation
5.1
CAUTION
BADU Easytronic has to be installed indoors in a dry and clean place. When
installing BADU Easytronic in a place with high humidity, provide for adequate
ventilation as otherwise condensation may damage the electronic system.
Make sure the ambient temperature does not exceed 40 °C.
To facilitate easy removal of the top section of BADU Easytronic, allow suffi-
cient space for servicing (200 mm) above the unit. Please also ensure that
BADU Easytronic is installed using disconnectable unions in the pipeworks
(e.g. screw connections). Provide for a floor drain at the installation site!
5.2 Mechanical / hydraulic system:
CAUTION
BADU Easytronic can be installed both above and below the water level.
For installation below the water level, the following has to be observed:
If BADU Easytronic is positioned more than 3 m (max. 6 m) below the water
level, a special spring-loaded non-return valve by Speck has to be installed in
the sewer pipe.
If these measures are not implemented when BADU Easytronic is instal-
led below the water level, water may flow back through the valve to the
sewer pipe during switchover, which may then be interrupted.
Please also make sure that the casing of the backwash valve is installed
without tension in the pipe. Inappropriate use of sealants for the threaded con-
nections may damage the casing. Non-observance of this section will void any
warranty. We therefore recommend careful application of Teflon tape as sea-
lant and use of screw connections with axially sealing o-ring.
