2.6 Safety instructions for maintenance, inspection and installation works
The operator has to make sure that all maintenance, inspection and installation
works are carried out by authorised and qualified experts, who are properly in-
formed after having carefully read the Operating Manual.
The accident prevention regulations must be observed.
Works on the machine must only be carried out when the machine is out of
operation. It is imperative to follow the instructions for shutting down the machi-
ne described in the Operating Manual.
Pumps or pump units delivering hazardous media have to be decontaminated.
Upon completion of the works, all safety and protection equipment have to be
immediately re-installed and put back into operation.
Prior to re-starting the pump or pump unit, the instructions under section 6 "Initi-
al start-up" must be followed.

2.7 Unauthorised modification and manufacture of spare parts

Modifications and changes to the machine are only permissible with the prior
approval of the manufacturer. Original spare parts and accessories authorised
by the manufacturer guarantee safety. Use of any other parts may result in the
denial of claims arising from consequential damage.
2.8 Unauthorised operating methods
The operational safety of the supplied machine can only be guaranteed if it is
used in accordance with Section 1 "General information" of the Operating Ma-
nual. The limit values specified in the data sheets must under no circumstances
be exceeded.

3. Transport and intermediate storage
Avoid machine storage in areas with high humidity and fluctuating temperatures
for long periods of time. Condensation may damage the electronic system. Non-
observance of this section will void any warranty.
4. Description
BADU Easytronic is a fully automatic backwash unit. A microprocessor automa-
tically controls the programme flow of the backwash unit by switching between
"backwash" and "rinse" cycle and actuates the filter pump.
