2. Safety
The Operating Manual contains basic information, which has to be observed
during installation, operation and maintenance. The Operating Manual must be
read carefully before installation and operation by the person in charge of in-
stallation as well as by all other technical personnel/users and should at all
times be available at the installation site of the unit/system.
Not only the general safety instructions given under this Safety section, but also
special safety instructions mentioned under all other sections, e.g. instructions
for private use, must be observed.
2.1 Symbols used for safety instructions in the Operating Manual
All safety instructions contained in the Operating Manual which, when ignored,
are likely to endanger the safety of persons, are marked with the following dan-
ger signs:
Safety sign according to DIN 4844 - W 9
Safety sign according to DIN 4844 - W8
as warning of electrical power.
Safety instructions whose non-observance may cause a hazard to the machine
and its functions as well as to the surrounding are marked with the word
Signs directly attached to the machine such as
have to be observed and kept fully legible.
