BADU Easytronic has an ON/OFF switch (red cap), which is used to switch the
power supply on and off. A second toggle switch (green cap) switches between
"filter" and "drain". The home position of this switch is "filter". It is only set to
"drain" when required. The draining process has to be manually interrupted as
otherwise the pump runs dry and may be damaged.
BADU Easytronic has a potential free contact (Z1, Z2) (max. 4 A at 250 V in-
ductive load), which can be optionally used for the "filter", "backwash", "rinse" or
"forced control" (i.e. contact closed in all positions) position. For this, set the two
selector switches to the desired position in accordance with the above figure.
The connecting cable for the potential free contact (Z1, Z2) is threaded through
the cable gland at the right side of the motor.
As already mentioned before, "backwash" and "rinse" cycles can be automatic-
ally activated by the timer. Additionally, these cycles can be initiated manually
by pressing the external pushbutton for at least 3 seconds. The backwashing
and rinsing times are set using two potentiometers, which are continuously ad-
justable by means of a small screwdriver in accordance with the following figu-
re. The unit has been set by the factory to the shortest possible cycle times.
Backwashing can be continuously adjusted from 30 seconds to 11 minutes, rin-
sing from approx. 5 seconds to 70 seconds.
