Storing for the winter and protecting against freezing
Thoroughly clean the sprayer inside and outside.
Remove the spark plug, pour a few drops of oil into the plug opening and pull the recoil starter slowly 2-3 times. Adjust the
piston to top dead centre (TDC) and re-insert the plug.
Store the sprayer in a frost proof room or empty completely (including the hose and spray tube).
Troubleshooting
The purpose of this checklist is to assist you in rectifying minor malfunctions. If despite these efforts the problem still cannot be
solved, please consult your dealer.
Pump
Pump does not suck in:
The dust extraction hose is the matter?
The dust extraction hose tighten.
The dust extraction hose is clogged?
The dust extraction hose dismantle and clean.
Pump has a poor spry pattern:
The nozzle is clogged?
Clean the nozzle.
The nozzle is opening enlarged?
Fit a new nozzle.
The speed is to low?
Increase the speed.
The nozzles are too large?
Fit smaller nozzles.
The return orifice is too large or missing?
Check the return orifice and replace if necessary.
The pump drive is wheel worn?
Renew the pump.
Leakage at bottom between engine and pump:
The pumping rotary shaft seal is defective?
Renew the pumping rotary shaft seal.
Is pump damaged?
Renew pump.
Engine
Engine has initial problems
The spark plugs does not emit a spark:
Electrode is wet?
Dry the plug.
The plug soot up?
Remove the soot.
Electrode is burned out?
Fit a new plug (Type NGK BPMR 6Y).
Ignition cable insulation is defective?
Replace the ignition cable.
A short circuit is in the stop button?
Repair the stop button.
Ignition is defective?
Check the ignition coil and the transistor circuit breaker.
The plug sparks, but engine does not start:
The fuel tank is empty?
Refill the fuel tank.
Fuel does not flow?
Check the petrol hose.
The petrol pipe or the carburetor is leaky?
Loose parts tighten.
Too much fuel mixed was sucked in?
Remove the spark plug and pull recoil starter trough several times.
Exhaust is blocked?
Clean the exhaust.
No compression is possible?
Inspect the engine.
Engine furnishes only low power
Compression and ignition good but engine does not gather speed:
The quality fuel is poor?
Empty the fuel tank and refill with better quality fuel.
False air is added?
Tighten connections to carburetor.
Soot deposit in the exhaust?
Clean the exhaust.
Is the fuel mixed too weak?
Re-adjust the carburetor.
Engine tends to overheat:
Are there deposits of dust or dirt in cooling blower and fins?
Clean the cooling blower and the fins.
Engine stops while spraying
Engine stops suddenly:
Is there a spark plug short - circuited by soot?
Clean the plug.
Is there a defect in the ignition?
Check and replace if necessary.
The piston seized?
Inspect the engine.
