GETTING STARTED & PROGRAMMING IS200 INTO CONTROL PANEL
Inserting Batteries
Step 1. Release the screws at the bottom of IS200 and pull the outer case out carefully.
Step 2. The battery compartment is a large box in the IS200 with a lid secured with 4 screws.
Step 3. Remove the four screws as shown and take off the compartment lid.
Step 4. Insert the D cell alkaline batteries provided into the battery compartment, taking care to
put the batteries in the right way around.
Step 5. The siren will give a short confirmation tone when the last battery is inserted.
Step 6. Replace the battery compartment lid with the four screws taking care not to over tighten.
Learning the IS200 into Control Panel
Note: Remember to learn in at least one other device into control panel before IS200 can be added.
Step 1. Locate dip switches.
Step 2. Use a sharp object to slide Dip SW3 & SW4 on IS200 function switch block for your
desired alarm period.
Step 3. Slide Dip SW1 to ON. The siren will sound two short beeps to indicate it is now in the learn
mode.
Step 4. Program the control unit by selecting "Device +/-" menu, then "Program Siren" menu,
then "Learn Siren".
Step 5. For non-NXP control units:
Press OK key and the control unit will emit a long beep to confirm, followed by the siren's
response of two short beeps. If the Siren has been already learnt-in, then, one short beep
will sounded to notify the user.
For NXP control units:
a) Press OK key and the control unit will ask if it is for "Single area" or "Whole system".
o Single area means that IS200 raises an alarm only when the sensor, which is learnt
in this area, is triggered.
o Whole system means that IS200 raises an alarm when any sensor, which is learnt
in either Area 1 or Area 2, is triggered.
b) Select either Single area of Whole system and press OK key; the screen displays "Pls
wait RF Transmitting" and a learning code is transmitted.
c) Siren should respond by activating its siren & strobe light momentarily.
Step 6. Slide Dip SW1 to OFF position, the siren will emit one short beep to confirm that the siren
is now in Normal Operation mode.
Programming the IS200 in the Control Panel
Put the Control Panel into Device +/- menu and select the Program Siren sub menu (See
operation manual of Control Panel), you can find the following selections:
1) Siren Tamp. Off/On (Siren Tamper Off/On)
IS200 is protected against any attempt to open the lid or to detach IS200 from its mounting
o
surface.
If the siren detects a tamper condition it will activate the siren for the programmed alarm
o
period. A tamper signal will be sent to the Control Panel along with regular signal
transmissions for the Control Panel to display the status accordingly. If the tamper condition
persists, the siren will sound a series of five beeps either every time the system is armed or
when the tamper is enabled, to indicate a fault.
Tamper feature can be disabled by selecting Siren Tamp. Off. The IS200 temporarity stops
o
the tamper detection for one hour (especially designed for replacing battery). After one hour,
the IS200 tamper automatically revert to On even if it is not switched back.
Tamper feature can be enabled by selecting Siren Tamp. On. The IS200 enables its tamper
o
protection.
2) Confirm Off/On (Confirmation Off/On)
The selections are used to enable or disable wheather IS200 plays confirmation beeps while
o
system is armed or disarmed.
3) Entry Snd Off/On (Entry Sound Off/On)
o The selections are used to enable or disable wheather SR plays counting-down beeps
during the entry delay period.
Note:
When any of the Siren Tamp. Off/On, Confirm Off/On or Entry Snd Off/On is selected and press
OK key on the panel, the IS200 sounds a beep to indicate the setting success.
