5-4. Troubleshooting
Trouble
Unit is inoperable.
High Temp Shutdown Indicator is lit.
Unit will not associate to a WCC compat-
ible wire feeder.
Unit will associate to a WCC compatible
wire feeder but will not control welding
power source.
Unit will associate to a WCC compatible
wire feeder but welding power source
output does not match preset.

Verify WCC Control High Temp Shutdown Indicator is not lit. (see Section 5-3).
Verify connection of 14−Pin Plug to welding power source. (see Section 4-3).
Verify proper operation of WCC compatible wire feeder.
Verify proper operation of welding power source.
Allow unit to cool. Unit will automatically reset. Reduce weld amperage or duty cycle to prevent High Temp
Shutdown. (see Section 5-3).
Follow equipment setup procedure (See Section 4-6).
CC/CV switch in WCC compatible wire feeder must be set to CV to associate to WCC control. (see feeder
manual).
Ensure that the WCC compatible welding power source Mode Switch is set to V-SENSE FEEDER
(see Section 4-6).
If applicable, make sure the Panel/Remote switch on welding power source is set to Remote.
Welding power source is not compatible with WCC Control (see Section 4-4).

Turn Off wire feeder and
welding power source. Stop
engine on welding
generator.
